Released for winter 2025, we have Kai’s Dragon Spinjitzu Spinner, given set number 71823. The set contains two minifigures and 54 pieces, and retails for £8.99 or $9.99.
Opening the box, you will find 1 unnumbered bag as well as 4 loose pieces and a paper sheet with your instructions on it.
Starting off with the minifigures, you get an exclusive version of Kai in his storm suit, which looks great. The only thing is that the hood is the only exclusive piece of the Kai minifigure, but if you just want a version of storm suit Kai, then this is a great way to get him.
Next up we have a Dragonian scout. He is a nice minifigure, but he does come in 4 sets altogether. He has a brilliant new armour piece and is a great minifigure to get a few extra of.
In addition to the two minifigures, you get a baby Dragonian, which is a very nice extra.
As for the actual build, you get a spinner for Kai and a launcher for the spinner. The launcher is a simple build, but it gives you a place to hold Kai’s katanas while he is in the spinner.
To launch the spinner, all you need to do is press the Technic rod in the back and the spinner will spin.
The spinner itself uses brand new pieces, including two transparent orange ones, which can be held by a minifigure.
One criticism of the spinner is that you can’t display it without the launcher.
Overall, I think this is a great set for £8.99. You get two highly detailed minifigures and a fun play feature in the spinner, and it is a good pocket money set or stocking filler. Links to places where you can buy the set in the UK and USA are below.
