Recently Lego revealed the final 15th Anniversary Ninjago set, the X-1 Ninja Charger, which contains 691 pieces, retails for £69.99/$89.99 and has three minifigures. It releases on 1st June 2026 in the UK and 1st August 2026 in the USA.
This is a bit of a strange choice for a Legacy remake, given that it already had a remake in 2021 for the Ninjago 10th Anniversary of the original 2014 set.
The car itself looks very nice; however, it is completely different from the source material and could have been a standard Ninjago Dragons Rising set.
The minifigures are also quite underwhelming. They feature a Legacy Kai ZX, who has already appeared in two January sets, as well as an upcoming issue of the Ninjago magazine and an upcoming board game, meaning he is quite common, but he doesn’t include his armour piece in this set.
The next minifigure is a new version of General Cryptor, who really should have had leg printing for a £70 set; however, he does have a nice new torso design.
Finally, the last minifigure in the set is the Master of Shadow, who is the final Ninjago 15th anniversary exclusive minifigure. I have to say he is a fine minifigure, but the leg print is quite sparse and the hair piece is a different colour from the one seen in the show.
So overall, if you can find this set on sale for maybe £60 or lower, then I would recommend it, since it is a nice car, but the minifigure selection is quite lacking and it is definitely the worst Legacy set of 2026. Let’s hope Legacy keeps going into 2027.
Released for winter 2025 was Ras and Arin’s Super Storm Jet, given set number 71833. The set contains three minifigures and 510 pieces, and retails for £44.99 or $49.99.
Opening the box, you will find six numbered bags, a sizeable sticker sheet and your instruction manual.
Starting off with the minifigures, you get Arin in his brand-new suit for winter 2025, which has brilliant torso and leg printing, making him a great figure to add to your collection. This version of Arin also appears in Dragon Spinjitzu Battle Pack 71826 , which retails for £17.99, making this set a more expensive way to get this version of Arin. Also worth noting is that he is due to appear in issue 128 of the Ninjago magazine, set for release on 29/5/2025.
As for Lord Ras, this version appeared in the summer 2024 sets, but both of the sets he came in were well over £100, making this set a more affordable way to get this Lord Ras, who has a brilliant design with arm printing. Unfortunately, in this set he does not include his armour piece.
Next up we have a Dragonian warrior, who is a nice minifigure. He does come in lots of sets, and has a brilliant new armour piece, helmet and wings. He is a great minifigure to get a few extras of to build your army.
In addition to the three minifigures, you get a baby Dragonian, which is a very nice extra.
The side build of the set is a flyer which uses a black and purple colour scheme. It is nothing special, but it is a fine extra to the main build, which it can connect to.
The main build is Arin’s jet, which is a very nice build. Starting at the front of the jet, you will find a cockpit to put your Arin minifigure in. A play feature of the cockpit is that it can detach from the rest of the jet, becoming a sort of escape craft.
The main part of the jet has a second cockpit you can put your Lord Ras minifigure in if you don’t want him flying the drone. The main part of the jet also includes some spring-loaded shooters, which are always a fun play feature. As for the wings, they use dark blue, bright orange and black as a colour scheme, which looks great, but I would not recommend holding the jet by one wing. The back of the jet looks good, with two wheel pieces used as engines. Unfortunately, there are some red pieces used which really stick out on the back when the flyer is not attached. Also, I am personally not keen on the purple thrust coming out of the wings, but these can easily be removed.
Overall, I think this is a great set for £44.99, and you get your money’s worth with the jet. It would have been nice to see more than three minifigures, though, in a set that costs £44.99. Links below to places you can buy the set in the UK and USA.
You can also sometimes find the set for around £34.99. This set is currently scheduled to retire at the end of 2025, so if you want it, I would recommend picking it up by October because of Christmas shopping in November and December. The retirement date could always change, too.
Released for winter 2025, we have Lloyd’s Green Forest Dragon, given set number 71829. The set contains 2 minifigures and 1 baby dragon, has 128 pieces and retails for £17.99 or $19.99.
Opening the box, you will find 2 numbered bags and 2 large green dragon wings loose in the box, as well as your instruction manual.
Starting off with the minifigures, you get Lloyd, who just reuses old pieces. This is very disappointing to see, since there is a brand new Lloyd suit in Lloyd’s Pull-Back Race Car 71828, which is only a few pounds more. The minifigure itself does look nice, but it should not have been in this set.
Next up we have a Dragonian scout. He is a nice minifigure, but he does come in 4 sets altogether. He has a brilliant new armour piece and is a great minifigure to get a few extra of to build your army of them.
The star of the set is the new baby dragon, which is a recolour of the baby Riyu piece from 2023. This time, however, it has a few more eyelashes, suggesting it is female. The yellow colour of the dragon is also nice.
The actual forest dragon build is very nice, with posable legs, tail, wings and head. The head piece’s only problem is that it’s hollow on the inside. One nice thing about the dragon is that it uses a printed tile for the flag, which is used in a few other sets, but it is still a new print for 2025.
Overall, I would recommend this set when it goes on sale. £17.99 is a lot for just 128 pieces and a mid minifigure selection, but if you can find this set for around £13, then it is a good dragon build and the yellow baby dragon is a nice addition. Links to where you can buy the set are below.

The main build of the set is two spinners and a structure which you are supposed to launch the spinners at. To launch a spinner, all you need to do is press the Technic rod in the back and the spinner will spin.
The spinners themselves use brand new pieces, including two transparent red and two transparent yellow ones, as well as two gold ones, which can be held by a minifigure.
My two criticisms are that the structure, which is intended to be destroyed when the spinners hit it, does not work very well, and that another minifigure would have been nice to see in the set.
Overall, I think this is a good set to buy, as it has two minifigures who are important to the Ninjago Dragons Rising TV programme, as well as a good build. The spinners are always fun to use, especially in this set: if you have two children, they can use a spinner each.

Opening the box, you will find 1 unnumbered bag as well as 4 loose pieces and a paper sheet with your instructions on it.
Starting off with the minifigures, you get an exclusive version of Kai in his storm suit, which looks great. The only thing is that the hood is the only exclusive piece of the Kai minifigure, but if you just want a version of storm suit Kai, then this is a great way to get him.
Next up we have a Dragonian scout. He is a nice minifigure, but he does come in 4 sets altogether. He has a brilliant new armour piece and is a great minifigure to get a few extra of.
In addition to the two minifigures, you get a baby Dragonian, which is a very nice extra.
As for the actual build, you get a spinner for Kai and a launcher for the spinner. The launcher is a simple build, but it gives you a place to hold Kai’s katanas while he is in the spinner.
To launch the spinner, all you need to do is press the Technic rod in the back and the spinner will spin.
The spinner itself uses brand new pieces, including two transparent orange ones, which can be held by a minifigure.
One criticism of the spinner is that you can’t display it without the launcher.
Overall, I think this is a great set for £8.99. You get two highly detailed minifigures and a fun play feature in the spinner, and it is a good pocket money set or stocking filler. Links to places where you can buy the set in the UK and USA are below.
